How to trade contracts on the short-term today—let’s talk about the framework
Do this trade or not? The funding rate is more honest than the candlestick chart.
Futures contracts only care about three numbers; everything else is noise.
1. BTC 84803, 24h 83888-85688, up/down -0.78%.
2. BTC open interest (notional) 8.28 billion USD, 24h +0.62%
3. Whole-account long/short ratio 1.22
My take: The funding rate is 0.0023%, basically near zero. With the long/short ratio at 1.22, leverage hasn’t been “picked a side.” If it hasn’t picked a side, don’t use high leverage to force it.
Execution zones (based on current price ± the structure—NOT the old chart):
- Breakout/Push zone: Get above 85,481, then consider chasing. If it doesn’t, it’s a fake breakout.
- Pullback entry: 83,785-84,294. If it breaks down, don’t take it.
- Abandon zone: If 1h closes below 83,277, don’t do this trade.
My position: I only do pullback entries; I don’t chase breakouts. If the structure hasn’t broken, you can keep the base position. Adding must wait for the pullback level.
