There’s one thought I really like here: it’s genuinely dangerous for a trader to trade multiple futures scenarios at the same time—scenarios that don’t even exist yet.
If I see a potential upside move, it makes more sense to first work with that scenario and determine in advance what would make me change my mind.
Otherwise you end up with a strange situation: the price hasn’t even moved against you yet, and you’ve already mentally lost the next five scenarios.
For me, this isn’t so much about “thinking only upward” as it is about discipline: first respond to what the market is actually showing, rather than trying to live through all the possible options ahead of time.
The market is complex enough without making it even more complicated with your own forecasts.
Do you trade more often what you already see, or do you build several scenarios in advance?
