The pot of losing money is mostly not the market
Some people say you can make money in both bull and bear markets, and only pigs get slaughtered. Crude though it may sound, it’s not without truth: in a bull market go long, in a bear market go short—there are profit opportunities in the market itself.
By “pigs,” we mean traders who are overly greedy—when they profit they refuse to take profit, when they lose they won’t cut losses, and they always want to eat up all the market moves. In the end, the market harvests them.
Put simply, most losses are not a problem with the market; it’s unchecked greed. Knowing when to stop in time is more important than chasing ultra-high returns. Like yesterday: first a surge, then a dump. People who blindly chase the price get left hanging at the top of the mountain—the root is greed in the heart.
Risk warning: Contract trading carries extremely high risk. This does not constitute investment advice.
