What are large-cap stocks waiting for—let’s talk it through
First read the numbers for the U.S. stock market, then decide whether to follow into crypto.
Set the figures on the board first, then talk views.
U.S. 10Y Treasury 5.28% (5-day +0.71%)
Crude oil 91.11 (5-day -1.61%, Yahoo)
Gold 4,162 (5-day -0.15%, Yahoo)
My take: Nasdaq is up 0.45% over 5 days, beating the S&P 500 at -0.27%. Risk appetite is still tilted toward growth stocks—not a full-blown bull market. If you’re going to follow crypto, follow the Nasdaq’s elasticity, not the Dow.
Crypto cross-check: BTC 84,798 (24h -2.30%), ETH 2,680 (-2.52%). ETH -2.52% is moving in lockstep with BTC -2.30%, with an FX rate of 0.0316. If there’s no independent market, don’t place single-shot bets on altcoins.
Next, what to watch: VIX is 15.31 now. If it breaks above 18, I’ll cut contract positions in half—I’m not going to argue with the U.S. stocks’ closing prices.
My position: I won’t catch the first falling knife. Left-side entries are basically catching knives—until the drawdown has actually translated into a reduction in positions.
Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance U-margined / Yahoo daily lines (5-day up/down). Missing numbers aren’t filled in.
Are you sitting in cash waiting for a pullback, or are you already on the train?
