Techub News message: Amazon has announced that over the next five years, through the Built Together program, it will invest more than $1 billion into communities where data centers are located in the United States. The funding will be used for workforce training, energy-efficient retrofits for schools and residences, roads, housing, and emergency services. Amazon also said it has stopped signing confidentiality agreements with government agencies regarding data center projects and will commit to publishing annual reports on energy and water usage.
