$ETH The contract only loses 50 USDT each time, and the risk share will keep increasing.

Suppose the account has 1,000 USDT, and the loss budget per trade is fixed at 50. Initially, this is equivalent to 5% of the principal.

If the first 4 consecutive actual losses are exactly 50 each time, and there are no other gains or losses, the principal left becomes 800. In the next trade, it still takes the loss budget of 50, but the share has become 6.25%.

With the amount unchanged, the proportion of principal being risked is 25% higher than at the beginning. So, “losing the same amount each time” and “taking the same percentage risk each time” are two different setups.

If you want the budget to always be 5% of the remaining principal, then with an 800 principal, the corresponding amount is 40—not 50. This ratio is only a calculation assumption and does not represent a risk level suitable for everyone.

Also note: a budget of 50 does not mean that after execution the loss will definitely be only 50. Slippage and fees may cause the loss to exceed the preset amount.

The above is a risk-control example for Binance ETH/USDT perpetual contracts; it is not a real trade record. As of 20:57 (Beijing time) on October 3, it does not include fees or other gains/losses.
