MetaMask reveals a security incident and confirms that users’ funds were not affected

Joseph Lubin, founder of Consensys, revealed on October 3 that part of the team’s infrastructure suffered a security incident, but after a preliminary investigation, the MetaMask wallet, customers’ funds, seed phrases, and private keys were not affected. As a precaution, the affected validator keys were rotated, and the validators in question must exit and re-enter the staking queue, which could cause interruptions to rewards during that period. #MetaMask
