【DOGE’s current “greed” — is it retail investors’ greed, or the whales’/market makers’ greed?】

To be honest, watching DOGE these past few days, I’ve been thinking about one thing—

The Fear & Greed Index is 67, the greed range is [itself in] the greed zone; the weekly average is 71, and it’s even lower than last week. On the surface, everyone’s sentiment seems pretty steady. But my gut feeling says otherwise.

What I see is a kind of “itch”—the kind where, “It’s already dropped so much; it should bounce, right?”

That kind of itch is the most dangerous.

DOGE’s situation right now is rather delicate. The price is 0.0928, down 4.2% in the last 24 hours and down 4.5% over 7 days. The support is 0.088699, and the resistance is 0.099634—trapped in between, neither up nor down. But that’s not the main point.

The main point is: who is going to buy DOGE?

Seriously—no institution would hold DOGE as a long-term allocation. DOGE has no business, no cash flow, and no ecosystem. Its rises and falls are basically just a mix of sentiment and the market maker’s rhythm. Every big pump doesn’t come because of a meme wave—it’s either someone lifting the price to distribute.

So what does that mean?

It means DOGE is a pure sentiment asset. Its “fundamentals” are basically: “Is anyone talking about it?”

And the成交量 (trading volume) is being unusually amplified—over 5% of market cap. This scale isn’t something retail investors can generate. Someone is moving, but the question is: are they accumulating, or distributing?

My inclination is that some funds are entering the market. But the words “my inclination” are enough—because I can’t be sure whether this is a plan to pull the market up, or the old routine where they pump first and then plan to distribute. I’ve seen this too many times—in 2017 and 2021.

Right now it’s stuck on this question: with this surge in trading volume, is it accumulation or distribution?

I don’t have an answer. But precisely because I don’t have one, I think it’s worth watching.

My position is very light—light enough that I can pull out at any time. People who’ve been taught by the market don’t have hands that stay too steady.

So what’s your mindset right now? Do you find this round of DOGE interesting, or do you feel like it’s the same old script again?
