$BTC In these 48 hours: the bulls say “breakout is imminent,” while the bears say “wait first.”
On 10/2, BTC briefly touched around $87,100, and the market started getting excited; but in less than a day, it slipped back to about $84,600. What’s even more interesting is that this pullback came with a large wave of long liquidations: in the past 24 hours, the total liquidations across the market were about $434 million, of which longs accounted for roughly 74%.
So what’s most worth watching now isn’t “Will BTC go up or down?”—it’s how much leverage the market has left.
In short:
Near 87K = the bulls want to write the story as a breakout chapter.
84K–85K = the market is rebalancing.
If it regains 87K, the market may test the liquidity overhead again; if it breaks below the vicinity of the recent lows, leverage could get flushed again.

Interestingly, BTC’s OI is still holding at a relatively high level, which suggests the market hasn’t really quieted down.
So my current, relatively neutral take is:
“BTC doesn’t have no direction—its direction is just waiting in line.”
The bulls are waiting for the breakout,
the bears are waiting for the breakdown,
the exchanges are waiting for trading fees, and… we’ll wait for the next candlestick to show who gets embarrassed.😂
What truly needs attention isn’t guessing tops or bottoms, but this:
When price breaks out, does OI increase in a healthy, synchronized way?
When price drops, does OI fall quickly?
These two signals are often more interesting than looking at a single big bullish or bearish candle.
