$BTC has dumped about 3,000 points from the highs; in the 4H chart, the J value has been smashed down from above 100 to 8. The momentum label looks like it’s been wiped clean, yet the price structure hasn’t broken down accordingly.
Current price is around 84,610 (24h −2.1%), about 3.0% off the 10/2 high of 87,220. 4H: Keltner (EMA20, ATR20×1.5) midline 84,563 / upper 85,839 / lower 83,286; channel position ≈0.52, which is exactly sitting on the midline. KDJ (9,3,3) K=29.1 / D=39.6 / J=8.0 (prior night peak about 101). EMA12/26/50 = 84,715/84,466/84,027; the long-side stack is still there, and price is sticking close to EMA12.
The structure is still HH 87,220 + HL 83,888 (higher than the previous low 83,186). Resistance: watch the rebound high around 84,725 and then 87,220. Support: first look at the midline + the EMA26 area; then below that at HL 83,888. Invalidation: a 4H close below 83,888. On the contract side, OI is about −2.0%/24h; large holders’ positions fell from 2.03→1.95, loosening. The long/short ratio for retail accounts is stuck around 1.21, and the aggressive buy/sell ratio is 0.68, leaning bearish. The funding rate is nearly flat.
J is down to single digits, the moving-average stack is still heavy, and price is paused in the middle of the channel—some will treat this as a turnover washout after a climax, while others will read it as “a step ahead” because the momentum bars have already turned negative. For the weekend, I’ll first see whether this HL at 83,888 can hold.
