$BTC don’t guess the direction yet—check whether positions are moving

As of 16:20 (Beijing time) on October 3, Binance’s $BTC spot is quoted at 84,590.01 USDT, while OKX is at 84,596.70. The 15-minute, 1-hour, and 4-hour moves are +0.10%, -0.03%, and -0.16% respectively. The 1-hour trading volume is about 0.70 times the recent 20-period median. OI (open interest) for the past hour is -0.24%, and the funding rate is +0.0003%.

Price, trading volume, and positions have not yet formed a one-sided alignment; it’s currently more suitable to observe within a range. Another explanation is that both longs and shorts adjust their positions, and one side temporarily gains an advantage in the short term; publicly available OI alone can’t tell you who is more proactive.

The levels 83,888.00 below and 87,220.00 above are the current structural boundaries. Only when price breaks above 87,220.00 can it be confirmed as an upward move; only a breakdown below 83,888.00 would indicate weakening. If neither side is broken, the single-direction judgment is temporarily invalid—I just note changes and don’t chase a single candlestick.
