Total spot ETF inflows for August and September amounted to $6.1 billion.

This money pushed Bitcoin up 14.6% from the September 15 low, reaching as high as $86,913. In the same period, the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury briefly rose to 5.29%, the 30-year hit 5.62%, and gold fell 8.5%. This time, gold followed the usual playbook based on real yields, but Bitcoin didn’t. In September, real yields rose by 44 basis points; breakeven inflation barely moved. The drivers were growth expectations and Treasury supply, not inflation. September nonfarm payrolls added only 29,000 jobs, below the 90,000 expected.

Watch two price levels: Bitcoin probed three times this week down to $82,500 without breaking it. $87,400 is the threshold for heading toward $90,000.
