Just looked at the data—there’s something going on.
$BTC is at 84587 now. It dumped from 87220 today, dropping 3300 points. The 80k handle is barely holding up. It’s down 2%, but it hasn’t broken through the intraday low of 83888, which suggests there’s still buying support underneath.
I checked the funding rate—it's only 0.0009, extremely low. That means both longs and shorts are watching and nobody dares to push hard. In situations like this, usually something big is being “held back.”
My take: slightly bullish in the short term. The logic is simple—after dropping this much today, it didn’t break the new low, so the bears don’t have the ability to expand their gains. Support to watch is 83888. If it breaks, 83000 is the next level. Resistance: first 85500. Only a breakout above 87000 could open the door to 88000.
I’ve already built a half-position long around 84500, with a stop-loss set at 83500. I’ll keep the rest of my ammo and wait to add on a dip below 84000.
If this move can hold 84,000, longs should still have a chance. But if it breaks below 83888 again, I’ll exit first—then the air force may start to take over.
With the funding rate this low in this market, what do you think everyone is holding back?
