Going long at 82k like, and it ended up turning into a battle with myself

I kept thinking I would wait for BTC to drop to 82k, or even 81k, then go long. I told myself that if it dropped a bit more, I would enter—but it just wouldn’t drop to the level I wanted.

Looking back, it seems I wasn’t actually watching the market anymore; I was waiting for the market to accommodate me. When it went up, I thought it would fall back. When it moved sideways, I thought it would fall too. My mind had already written the script.

Now I’ve figured it out: trading can be planned, but it can’t be obsessive. If the entry level I wanted never comes, then that trade might not be meant for me. If I miss it, I miss it—but I can’t turn around and short just to chase that level—that’s exactly the mistake I kept making before.
