Strategy = DCA + trend filter with EMA 50 and 200
1. What is DCA?
You buy with a fixed amount every period regardless of the price.
Example: $150 every Monday. It reduces the impact of volatility and builds a position gradually.
2. Trend filter: EMA 50 & EMA 200
- *Golden Cross:* EMA 50 crosses above EMA 200 = bullish trend → we buy
- *Death Cross:* EMA 50 crosses below EMA 200 = bearish trend → we exit and stop buying
3. Risk management (the most important part):
- Set a stop-loss at only 5% from the entry point
- Take-profit target of 15–20%
- Risk no more than 2% of your capital on a single trade
Practical plan:
ENTRY: Only when EMA50 > EMA200 + continue DCA
TAKE PROFIT: Sell at +15–20% profit
STOP LOSS: Exit on a Death Cross or a drop of -5% from entry
Why does it work?
Because it combines discipline (DCA) + trend confirmation (EMA). Don’t trade against the current.
