$SHELL | Distance to the lower band, by time frame

How much the price is higher than the lower Bollinger band is one way analysts measure the remaining "buffer" before this band is tested, without treating it as a definite floor.

On the 1-hour and 4-hour charts, the price is both higher than the lower band by about 3.49-3.50%, almost identical despite the different time frames. On the daily chart, this buffer widens to 29.77%. On the weekly chart, 46.71%. The short-term buffer is thin; the long-term buffer is wide. Both of these truths are true at the same time for the same asset.
