Scrolling to CryptoBriefing: Japan exchange bitFlyer has added an anti-scam “braking” measure for new users—starting October 15, individuals who complete KYC but have not done so for at least 90 days, and who buy crypto with JPY deposits, won’t be able to transfer it out within 48 hours.
The details are quite specific: each deposit is timed separately; the limit on outbound transfers is the total deposited amount minus 100,000 yen—if deposits are no more than 100,000 yen, this outbound-amount limit doesn’t apply. Trading, JPY deposits/withdrawals, and receiving/holding coins all continue as usual; only the step “buy and immediately withdraw” is restricted. The 7-day limit for convenience store/Pay-easy is still in place, stacking on top of this.
For new accounts making large deposits who want to withdraw right away, they’ll have to wait two days first; existing users are basically unaffected.
