Five years ago, we launched a simple wallet bot that made it easy for Telegram users to buy Toncoin and Bitcoin. Since then, it has evolved into a full cryptocurrency platform, offering millions of users access to hundreds of assets, trading across multiple chains, reward products, tokenized shares and gold, and much more.
Our native integration with Telegram has turned us into the go-to app for cryptocurrencies in the day-to-day lives of millions of people around the world. Today marks the start of a new chapter on that journey.
Telegram’s financial platform is evolving. With the launch of Gram Wallet, a simple way to buy and use Gram within Telegram, available immediately to one billion users, we’re taking another step in our users’ crypto experience with an all-in-one app for those who want more features. And we do it under a new name: Walt.
Gram Wallet and Walt serve different but complementary functions, offering Telegram users a complete crypto experience—from the simplest everyday use to more advanced crypto activities.

With this, we bring to life a vision we’ve had for a long time: for Telegram to become a true home for cryptocurrencies, where users can start with simple everyday use and progress to more advanced financial activities.
Telegram’s Gram Wallet is the entry point for a billion users: an easy way to buy Gram as the ecosystem’s main token, send gifts, buy Stars, transfer funds to friends, and make transactions inside thousands of Telegram apps and services.
Walt is the all-in-one crypto platform for users who want to go further: it enables trading, investing, managing multichain assets, and transferring between chains. It also provides the infrastructure that lets Telegram users top up their Gram wallet through Walt.

Why Walt?
The product grew, the name got shorter. Walt keeps the original essence—a digital wallet—while making room for what we’ve become: one app for paying, investing, earning money, and trading on the market.
The rebrand changes our name, logo, and social media profiles. The wallet in Telegram settings is designed to be the simplest way to store and send cryptocurrencies. Now, Gram Wallet takes care of that, so it replaces Wallet. Walt, with its trading, investing, and income generation products, is available through @walt. Everything else stays the same: your funds, your account, your settings, and the way you access your wallet. There’s nothing to migrate and nothing you need to do.
Our official accounts are now @walt, @walt_news and @walt_support. We will never contact you first or ask for confidential information.
Our principles still remain the same:
Simple. Two taps for everything. We take complex crypto products and make them easy to use: no jargon, no unnecessary complexity, and you don’t need to be an expert to understand them.
Social. Many of you discovered cryptocurrencies through communities and conversations. Walt was born on a social platform and is built on those same social principles, making it easier to connect, share, and learn together. It’s community that drives us by design.
