The essence of trading is simply to wait for the flowers to bloom. Once you’ve looked at the order book and the K-line charts long enough, you’ll know where prices will rise and where they will fall—everyone already has a sense of it. What’s difficult is that most people only want the flowers to open immediately, and for them to enter the market right away; they don’t have the patience to wait for the season when the flowers bloom. Their money either comes with a high price tag or ongoing costs, or it’s waiting to be spent on rent and meals. So they can’t wait for the bloom season, and end up becoming the fertilizer for the flowers—turning into liquidity in the market itself, losing all their chips.
