To be honest, #事件合约 is more suitable for the small-capital stage. Once the capital gets bigger, its limitations become increasingly obvious.

The biggest issue is the limit on the amount. Even if you really catch a good run of market conditions, in a single trade you can only place up to 1250U. For larger funds, that space is indeed too small—regular contracts can easily capture a few points and the profit might be more straightforward than making several event trades.

But if your principal isn’t large, the advantage of event contracts is very clear: higher capital utilization and faster account growth.

This time, I also started with 300U and, over the course of a few months, reached 70000U. In the small-capital stage, you definitely feel that this approach is highly efficient. But once the capital grows, and you start doing event trades one by one, you can clearly feel the way the limit on the amount begins to come into play.

With my current capital size, I actually prefer trading normal contracts more. When the market is right, it’s more convenient to take a few points and rotate a few thousand U.

That said, whether you do event trades or contracts, what’s truly difficult isn’t placing orders—it’s controlling your emotions. Many people aren’t that they can’t read the market; it’s that after several losing trades in a row, they start averaging down, adding positions, and eventually give back all the profits from earlier.

So for beginners or people who are prone to getting emotional, I actually recommend quant trading more. Set your strategy, position sizing, and stop-loss rules in advance, and execute only when the conditions are met. Don’t get inflated just because of a winning streak, and don’t lose your head because of a losing streak.

The greatest value of quant trading isn’t guaranteeing you’ll be right on every single trade. It’s helping you lock in discipline. Compared with doing things randomly based on instinct, sticking to a proven set of rules over the long term is at least more stable and makes it easier to control risk.#量化 #事件
