Crypto market making models are really ridiculous. Maybe market makers also have their own difficulties: the large players’ chips are either coins they issued themselves or coins they acquired at very, very low prices, and they can keep issuing new coins to keep ripping others off. The key point is that when it matters most and they don’t pull liquidity, they can’t afford to lose money either.
