๐Ÿš€ TRADING JOURNAL | BREAKOUT + RETEST

How to avoid chasing a breakout? ๐Ÿ“ˆ

A broken resistance doesnโ€™t automatically mean the price will keep going up.

My method to analyze a breakout:

๐Ÿ”น 1. Identify the resistance
Look for an area where the price has reacted multiple times.

๐Ÿ”น 2. Wait for the breakout
I want to see a real close above the zone, not just a wick.

๐Ÿ”น 3. Check the volume ๐Ÿ“Š
A breakout accompanied by an increase in volume provides additional confirmation.

๐Ÿ”น 4. Wait for the RETEST
The price comes back to test the former resistance.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Resistance โ†’ Support?

Thatโ€™s exactly what Iโ€™m looking to observe.

๐Ÿ”น 5. Look for confirmation
If the support holds and the structure resumes in the direction of the breakout, the setup becomes more interesting to study.

โš ๏ธ Beware of false breakouts:

Resistance โ†’ breakout โ†’ return below the zone = breakout potentially invalidated.

๐ŸŽฏ The RomeoHD rule:

I donโ€™t chase the breakout.
I wait for proof.

On EPIC/USDT, itโ€™s exactly the kind of setup weโ€™re currently learning to read.

๐Ÿ’ฌ And you: do you enter directly on the breakout, or do you prefer to wait for the retest?
