WLFI has opened its governance rewards pool.
According to a PANews report, World Liberty Financial announced that the first $1,250,000 USD1 will be injected between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) on October 2, and will be allocated over 180 days. Under the terms of the announcement, participants must have unlocked WLFI staking for at least 180 days, and must directly participate in governance voting at least once every 90 days.
In practice, this kind of design will likely lock some circulating tokens into governance first, and USD1 also looks more like a way to reinforce participant retention. Observation one: whether actual staked amounts will keep up. Observation two: whether the withdrawal cadence after 180 days will amplify subsequent volatility. Which are you more focused on—“mitigating sell pressure brought by lockups,” or “the unlock schedule after maturity”?
