The Trump-themed coin $TRUMP is back with new moves!
The GetTrumpMemes website has announced that on November 22, it will hold its third coin-holder event at Trump’s golf club in the Washington area. The first 185 TRUMP holders who meet the ranking criteria will be eligible for a dinner invitation, and Trump himself will also attend. The ranking collection period runs from September 30 to November 12.
🔥 Even more interesting: this isn’t the first time.
Previously, TRUMP coin holders attended a dinner in May 2025, as well as a gathering in April 2026. Now, the third event again links “how many tokens you hold” with the chance to meet the president—prompting renewed debate among U.S. political circles and ethics-minded people.
At the heart of the controversy is actually quite simple: when an event involving the president directly is tied to a ranking based on holdings of a publicly tradable crypto asset, does this model create a special connection between “coin ownership” and “political access”?
U.S. Senator Chris Coons publicly called the event “corrupt,” while Public Citizen co-chair Robert Weissman told Cointelegraph that at least there are concerns about ethics and conflicts of interest. Note that these are views from critics; they don’t necessarily mean the event has already been determined to be illegal.
📉 Also worth close attention are the market-level developments.
In August this year, Public Citizen released a report stating that investors in crypto projects related to the Trump family are collectively facing at least $4.7 billion in unrealized paper losses, with roughly $3.2 billion linked to the TRUMP meme coin. The figure mainly includes unrealized losses—losses haven’t all yet been actually sold and realized—so more accurately, it means the value of the related holdings has drastically dropped compared to their cost.
