Break up the order book: quantity, price, and position
I only look at congestion on the contract order book—I don’t care about group chat messages.
Futures only recognize three sets of numbers; everything else is noise.
1. BTC 85489, 24h 83186-85511, up/down +2.38%.
2. BTC open interest notional is 8.27 billion, 24h +3.19%
3. Overall long/short ratio for the whole account is 1.02
My view: the fee rate 0.0033% is close to zero; the long/short ratio is 1.02—no side is being favored. If it’s not favoring either side, don’t use high leverage to pick a side for it.
Execution zones (based on current price ± structure, not the old chart):
- Breakout zone: only consider chasing after it stands above 86,173; if it doesn’t, it’s a fake breakout
- Pullback entry: 84,463-84,976; if it breaks down, don’t take the trade
- Abandon zone: if within 1h it closes below 83,950, this setup is not done
My position: I only do pullback trades, not breakout chasing trades. If the structure hasn’t broken, you can keep your base position; any adding must wait for the pullback level.
Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDT-m / Yahoo daily (5-day up/down). Missing numbers are not filled in.
Will you place orders at the pullback level, or wait for the line to close?
