$NEAR NEAR Intents says it has identified the hacker and issues a final 48-hour ultimatum to return the funds
BlockBeats News, Oct. 2: NEAR Intents said it had identified the individual behind the security vulnerability that resulted in the loss of around $3.8 million in user funds on Thursday, and had given them 48 hours to return the funds under a “responsible disclosure” framework. NEAR Intents General Manager Alex Shevchenko said, “We have confirmed your identity.” The team also published three separate wallet addresses for receiving Bitcoin, BNB, and Solana. “You understand how responsible disclosure works better than most people—this is your last chance to use this process. In 48 hours, this window will close.” On Thursday, NEAR Intents suspended the affected services after discovering a “vulnerability in the interaction between the Omni deposit and withdrawal infrastructure and NEAR Intents smart contracts.”
