$120 is quite a telling signal
At the moment, the price of SOL is roughly around $119.9; the 24-hour gain exceeds 1.4%, and the intraday high has almost reached $120. At first glance, it’s just a whole psychological level, but for short-term traders, whole numbers often attract large orders for profit-taking and increase selling pressure.
More important is that, lately, in the Solana ecosystem there has been noticeable “more applied,” almost real-world progress
The digital asset infrastructure platform has started on Solana to process clearing and settlement operations for issuing a digital currency at the state level, which means: Solana is being used not only for trading and activity with MEME coins, but also for real payment and settlement processes
This event has very strong symbolic significance
Earlier, when the market discussed Solana, people most often talked about speed, fees, ecosystem activity, and on-chain trading volumes. Now, more and more attempts are appearing from institutional players and traditional financial services to move actual settlement and processing into the chain
This shows that competition among public networks is gradually shifting from the question “whose TPS is higher” to the question “which network can support real business processes”
Of course, you can’t judge that SOL will immediately start a new wave of active growth just because a single joint project has appeared. In the crypto market, news and prices are never related by a simple one-to-one direct dependency
Whether the growth will continue in the short term still depends on whether SOL can steadily hold above $120, and whether trading volume can grow in parallel
If the price quickly breaks through $120 and then falls back down again, it may turn out to be nothing more than an emotional hype burst
If the price holds and the number of news items about implementations keeps growing in the ecosystem, Solana’s valuation logic could gradually shift from a “highly active public network” to a “network for high-frequency computing”
The potential of the valuation scenarios in these two narratives is completely different
The fact that SOL has again held above $120 is a positive signal, but next it needs to be followed by price stability and confirmation through real usage.
