⚠️ After BTC breaks through 85,000, the pullback and consolidation are underway—can the upward move continue?

📊 Market Snapshot

1️⃣ Wyckoff Perspective
Since BTC’s low on 9/28 at $82,563, it first went through distribution/accumulation with volume (on 9/30 12:00, a surge to a high of $85,650 on nearly 9k volume). It then pulled back on reduced volume to $83,186, forming a higher low. The current price at $84,735 is in the second test range of an up-move. If it can break above the previous high of $85,650 on increased volume, it would confirm the up-move phase. Conversely, if it falls below the $83,000 support, it may indicate accumulation failed and a return to the downtrend channel. ETH is clearly weaker than BTC: it has not broken the prior low of $2,635, and upward momentum is lacking. It is in Wyckoff’s “stagnation” phase, with low retail participation.

2️⃣ 2B Rule Assessment
BTC on the 4H timeframe: after the surge to $85,650 on 9/30, the pullback did not break below the prior low at $83,186. This is a low structure of continuously higher lows, and a 2B pattern has not appeared yet. Watch whether $85,650 can be broken effectively. If after breaking it quickly drops back below $85,000, that would form a 4H 2B sell point—be alert for a false breakout. ETH’s $2,748 high also has not been broken, so the 2B pattern has not been triggered yet; however, ETH has been consolidating around $2,700. Once it breaks below $2,670, it could trigger an accelerated sell-off.

3️⃣ Dow Theory
BTC on the daily timeframe: since rebounding from the $82,563 low, it has formed higher lows ($83,186), but it has not yet broken the prior high of $85,650 to confirm a new high, so the uptrend still needs validation. Currently, price is in a secondary retracement— the primary trend still needs to be monitored. ETH is noticeably weak on the daily timeframe: both highs and lows have not been effectively lifted, maintaining a range-bound structure. Dow signals are bearish.

🛡️ Trading Strategy
• BTC: $83,000–$83,200 is the long defense zone; $85,650 is the breakout confirmation level
Break above $85,650 to go long: target $87,000; stop-loss $84,500
Break below $83,000 for a short-term short: target $81,500; stop-loss $83,800
• ETH: $2,670 is key support; $2,720 is resistance
If BTC breaks out but ETH doesn’t follow, watch the risk of continued weakness in the ETH/BTC ratio
• Current volume is relatively low (recently only 639 BTC on the 4H). Asian-session volatility is limited—wait for the European/American session to pick a direction with increased volume
