$XRP — 1 BILLION tokens released today
Ripple has just released 1 billion $XRP from its escrow at the beginning of the month.
The amount represents approximately $1.49 billion at the time of the transactions. The release was carried out in 4 movements: 400M, 300M, 200M and 100M XRP.
But be careful: 1 billion released ≠ 1 billion sold.
Part of it is generally put back into escrow. In fact, 300M XRP have already been re-escrowed today according to data reported by Whale Alert.
The level I’m watching: 1.54 $
XRP is trading around 1.50 $ and this zone remains an important resistance. A price reaction around 1.54–1.56 $ could provide more information about the strength of buyers.
For now, I’m mainly watching the price + the next token movements, rather than concluding directly to selling pressure.
