Write a trade log for every trade when you open it—why you opened it, what the entry logic is, how much the planned maximum loss is for this trade, how much take-profit you’re targeting, and whether it was an impulsive trade. Impulsive trading and getting carried away emotionally aren’t actually the scariest thing; every trader will experience it. What matters is controlling your emotions and decisively cutting off the spread of emotion—this is what a mature trader needs to be able to do. This is also the final step before I reached my trading enlightenment. Plan each day the maximum loss you can personally tolerate for each trade, and then open the trade based on logic. For me, 500U is enough.
