How to trade short-term contracts today—let’s talk about the framework

Do this trade or not? The fee rate is more honest than the K-line.

Futures contracts only recognize three numbers; everything else is noise.

1. BTC 84,230, 24h 83,186–84,744, change -0.05%.
2. BTC nominal position size: 8.18 billion dollars, 24h +2.64%
3. Long/short ratio for the whole account: 1.26

My take: The big players’ long/short ratio is 1.95, while the whole account is only 1.26. Big players are more bullish than retail traders. Copying them is possible, but you can’t see their stop-losses—don’t follow them with a fully loaded position.

Trading ranges (based on current price ± structure, not old charts):
- Breakout/strength zone: If price stands above 84,904, then we talk about chasing; if it can’t, it’s a fake breakout
- Pullback to enter: 83,219–83,725; if it breaks down, don’t take it
- Abandon zone: If it closes below 82,714 in 1 hour, this trade is not for you

My position: Watching from the sidelines. Price hasn’t chosen a direction, and leverage hasn’t been paid for. Opening a position now is basically working for the exchange.

Missing numbers aren’t going to be filled.
Are you currently flat and waiting for the pullback, or are you already on the train?
