24-hour up 29.9%, seven-day up 75.3%. Market cap is about $371 million, with about 33 million in trading volume. BP also appears at #1 on the search attention leaderboard at the same time. But market-cap ranking is only around 132, so attention level and order-book position are clearly misaligned.

My take is: when people are discussing BP now, the weight of sentiment has already run ahead of the incoming volume it’s supposed to attract.

Over 30 days it surged from 0.39 to 1.47. Today it touched 1.65 and then pulled back. In the past 24 hours the low was 1.088 and the high was 1.65—an amplitude over 50%. This isn’t a one-way trend; it’s violent turnover after acceleration.

On September 26, 48M of volume pushed the price to 1.35, after which volume dropped to 13–22M. Even today, 29M volume couldn’t hold above 1.65.

There’s another easy-to-overlook point: in public discussions, oil-related BP news from the traditional energy sector is mixed in. That’s same-name noise—it’s not the same thing as this crypto asset.

The real question is: is 1.65 a pre-breakout test bid, or a marker of the peak of sentiment?
