On $NEAR 10, NEAR Intents issued a security notice confirming it had been attacked. Initial investigations indicated that the vulnerability stemmed from flaws in the interaction between Omni’s deposit and withdrawal infrastructure and its contracts. The contract vulnerability has been fixed, and core services are expected to resume within one hour. The project also promised to fully compensate affected users for their losses. Deposits and withdrawals on BSC, Polygon, TON, and several other public chains will be suspended for an additional 12 hours or so. The incident has been reported to the police, and on-chain tracing is underway.
Later, on-chain investigator ZachXBT warned that multiple suspicious outflows had occurred from NEAR Intents’ BSC hot wallet. The stolen funds had been transferred to KuCoin and bridged to the Bitcoin network, with the amount involved exceeding $3.8 million.
