Ripple releases 1.000 million $XRP from its monthly escrow! According to on-chain data monitored by OnchainLens, Ripple completed the scheduled release of 1.000 million XRP tokens from its custody accounts (escrow), an operation valued at approximately $1.490 billion with the asset trading around $1.49.

For traders and the community, it’s key to put the move into context: this unlock happens automatically and mathematically on the first day of every month according to the schedule implemented in 2017 to provide supply predictability.

In practice, this doesn’t mean an immediate massive sale on the spot market; historically, Ripple typically re-locks between 700 and 800 million tokens into new long-term custody contracts, retaining only a portion for liquidity for institutional payments and corporate operations.

Even so, the temporary liquidity injection at the start of each month often creates short-term volatility and sparks debate about the impact of circulating supply versus the network’s real demand.

Do you think these monthly unlocks slow down XRP price growth, or is the market already pricing them in completely?
