September’s closing: How do you think this performance report from Bitcoin feels?
10% monthly gain—doesn’t that sound like not much?
That’s because you don’t know how it got through this month.

In September, $BTC went through:
The Fed raised rates by 25 basis points (the first time since July 2023)
The Bank of Japan followed with a hike, pushing the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield above 5.23% (a 19-year high)
The CLARITY Act died in the Senate, the SEC “crypto mom” stepped down,
and two exchanges were hacked for $1 billion.
Any one of these events alone, in the past, would have been enough for the crypto market to be in for a rough ride.

So what happened in the end? Three straight months of gains—last time it managed that was in 2012, when Obama was still in his first term.

Even more ridiculous: the thing it tracked this month. It moved with gold, not stocks.
Its “safe-haven asset” identity was stamped by the market itself.
I give this report an A+.
