According to Jin10, Switzerland's inflation rate rose to a two-year high in September, with consumer prices up 1% year on year, matching market expectations and up from 0.8% in August. The Swiss Federal Statistical Office said the increase in oil prices and a weaker Swiss franc added to price pressures, while higher petroleum product prices were partly offset by small declines in clothing and footwear prices. The reading remained within the Swiss National Bank's 0% to 2% target range, and core inflation excluding energy and other volatile items edged up to 0.5% from 0.4% for a second straight monthly increase.
