I look at this image and something really catches my attention: many of these coins that were in the top spots at that time have a very different role within the market today.
$BTC was already in first place, while $ETH , $XRP ,
Litecoin, Monero, Dash, Ethereum Classic, Steem, MaidSafeCoin, and NEM also appeared among the main ones.
The interesting part isn’t just seeing how much each one cost. It’s remembering that being among the leading cryptocurrencies at a given moment doesn’t guarantee keeping that position years later.
