Lido disclosure: MetaMask Staking has taken a preventive exit of its Ethereum validators from the Lido protocol. The last batch is expected to complete the exit by the end of October 7, 2026.
The withdrawal of ETH will gradually return to the protocol according to the exit, withdrawal, and re-staking cycles. Due to the extended queue, it is expected to take up to about 45 days. stETH holders do not need to take any action.
Lido said that mechanisms such as multi-node operators and the temporary reserve fund of over 6750 stETH will mitigate interference with the protocol’s normal operations.
