INJ This 15 minutes is kind of interesting.

The price dropped by less than 1%, yet the volume directly shot to 2.34x. The buy/sell imbalance is 0.31, and the sell side is clearly pressing. It also closed below the lower edge of the last 20 or so 5-minute candles, so the short-term structure has turned bad.

But strangely, the OI—on the 15m chart barely moved, and over 1h it only decreased slightly by 0.53%. In principle, with this kind of breakout on volume, either new shorts have entered, or long positions have been liquidated. With this combination, it looks more like leveraged shorts are probing, but they haven’t truly built up a position yet; or, alternatively, the longs aren’t panicking and cutting either.

The abnormal percentile is 87.9%, ranking 14 in the whole pool. Nominal change is 31—it's the kind of signal that sits a bit toward the front of the pack within the noise. Not one of those obviously fake wick needles, and not some major event with a market-wide resonance.

Over the last 24h, turnover is 56M, and the depth is sufficient—so this volume move isn’t just smoke. Still, to confirm the direction, we need to see whether the OI can keep up in the next one or two hours. If price keeps drifting lower and OI rises in sync, that’s the cadence of shorts building positions. If OI stays flat, it could just be a short-term tug-of-war—after the dump, it may just settle.

At this point, chasing a short has mediocre cost-effectiveness. Wait for confirmation.
