📉 ETH failed to hold the peak. It fell all the way from 2738 back to 2690. The script from last night played out exactly

First, the conclusion: 2738 didn’t hold. It was blocked by the wall at 2747. Now price is back at 2690, and the short-term trend has turned bearish.

What the chart is saying 🔍

Starting at 21:00 last night, two consecutive hourly candles dropped: -0.78%, followed by -1.16%, wiping out the entire prior gain. The 1-hour SAR flipped to 2724 and is pressing down on price. The 4-hour moving averages are back in a bearish alignment—short-term has already shifted from long to short.

Funds aren’t pretending anymore 📊

The long/short ratio fell from 1.397 to 1.063. This is the largest single weekly drop—bulls got cleaned out. The passive buy/sell ratio is only 0.9417, with sell-side dominance. As price dropped, leveraged long positions didn’t get picked up—instead, they ran.

That’s why I said last night that chasing 2738 had poor risk/reward, and a fade from the high was the most likely scenario.

Key levels to watch ⚠️

2686 is the Bollinger midline, and price is currently hugging it. Below is 2656 (the lower band), then further down you have the 2625–2650 zone.

The important part: between 2600 and 2650 there’s an 1859 亿 liquidation-density pile-up—thicker than yesterday. This is a whole fuel-camp. Once price breaks below 2656, the drop could be faster than you expect.

🎯 My plan

Right now, I’m staying sidelined and observing—no rush to bottom-fish.

If the 15-minute candle has volume and reclaims 2700, I’ll consider going long. Targets: 2715 to 2724. Stop-loss: 2678.

If 2686 breaks and we confirm it’s lost, I’ll consider going short. Target: 2656, then look at 2625. Stop-loss: 2710.

🛑 Remember: 2686 to 2690 is the key battleground today. If it can’t hold, don’t reach out to catch a falling knife.
