Ostium launches the portal back online, and 90.6% of affected users can fully recover
Original text: On Arbitrum $ARB , RWA trading platform Ostium released an update on the recovery progress following the July 15 attack incident. A total of 3,666 affected wallets were identified; in the first phase of the recovery plan, 3,321 wallets (90.59%) can fully reclaim verified losses. Users with losses not exceeding 1,000 USDC may apply for full reimbursement by December 29. So far, approximately 650,000 USDC has been recovered from the attacker. The OLP treasury has remaining assets worth about 30% of the value of the holdings prior to the incident. Previously, about 23.75 million $USDC had been withdrawn from the OLP treasury.
Reasons to pay attention: This is one of the higher-recovery-rate cases among DeFi attack incidents in 2026. The second phase of funds will come from subsequently recovered stolen funds and a certain percentage of the protocol’s revenue.
Impact assessment: This provides a reference case for crisis handling for RWA trading platforms, but the remaining 30% of the treasury still reflects the destructiveness of such attacks.
Positive for tokens: #Arbitrum ecosystem, RWA sector.
Future outlook: October 30 is the key date when details of the second phase will be announced.
