The problem isn’t your analysis; the problem is you.
Most losers entered the market with a gambler’s mindset, not a trader’s mindset.
A gambler wants to win today. A trader wants to still be in the market tomorrow.
Three mistakes that will kill you in this market:
1- Increasing your position size:
You want to make up for your losses in a single trade. That’s not trading; it’s gambling. One bad trade is enough to wipe out your account.
2- Disrespecting the stop loss:
You do not lose when the stop is hit; you lose when you move the stop. The stop is a protection contract for you, not your enemy.
3- Revenge on the market:
You lose a trade, then enter another one immediately to take revenge. The market does not know you and does not care about you. You are only taking revenge on your portfolio.
The rule that no one tells you:
Capital management is more important than technical analysis.
A mediocre strategy with strict money management is better than a genius strategy with random trades.
Win a little, lose a little, and keep going. This is the survival equation.
