zkSync Era is an Ethereum scaling platform that uses zero-knowledge proofs and roll-up technology. The idea is that the protocol groups transactions to increase network throughput. zkRollup processes most transaction data off-chain. It produces cryptographic proofs that allow users to prove that they have certain data without revealing the details of that data (hence the term "Zero Knowledge").
