Zcash now only has one private transaction every ~7 seconds, and the goal given by the developers is 50,000 private transactions per second.

On 9/29, Zcash developers integrated a component called Udon from the scaling project Tachyon into the open-source cryptography library Zakura Common.

In testing, the time to generate a private transaction has been reduced from more than 3 seconds to within 200 milliseconds.

Tachyon’s approach is to merge the proofs of many payments together, so nodes need to collect and verify less data—this is how throughput can increase.

But take note: this is a development milestone, not a mainnet upgrade. Udon still needs further development and security auditing. 50,000 TPS is a long-term goal, not near-term production capacity.

$ZEC 30 days rose from 848 to 1419, up 67%. On 9/26 the high was 1698; now it is about 16% below the high. Binance spot volume is still around $300 million per day and remains within the top five.

Reclaiming levels above 1500 suggests this pullback is basically over; breaking below the 9/29 low of 1356 means the pullback has not finished yet.

Privacy coins are highly volatile, so position sizing should be smaller than for major coins.
