The US has formally ended Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq after coalition forces and equipment departed, according to a Pentagon statement.

Lt. Gen. Karen Gibson, retired and former deputy director of national intelligence, also discussed the move and the latest developments in the Middle East, Bloomberg reported.
