Gemini changed the software it uses to track the Zcash network.
The old system took close to ONE DAY to sync the blockchain.
The new one took a little over 6 hours.
Why does this matter?
Because Zcash is preparing for NU7.
If the upgrade is activated as planned, the time between blocks should drop from:
75 seconds → 25 seconds.
That means:
the network will have to process new blocks 3x more often.
