CEA Industries Inc., the largest corporate treasury of BNB, has announced that it will be renamed to BNB Standard Corporation. The change takes effect on September 29 and affects only the name, while the BNC ticker on the Nasdaq Capital Market, BNCWW and BNCWZ warrants, the CUSIP number, and existing share certificates remain unchanged.
The new name was chosen following an open poll on social media that lasted five days. Of four options, BNB Standard received 5,799 votes, or about 47% of the total.
As far as we know, few public companies have asked the community to help choose a name. We believe many should do so—this unusual move was explained by acting president Alex Odajiu.
Carlie E. Howard, Chair of the Board of Directors, said the new name “reflects what the company has become.”
The rebranding was another attempt by the company to deal with governance problems. In August 2025, CEA Industries, a maker of nicotine vapes, was transformed into a BNB treasury company after a private placement worth $500 million organized by 10X Capital.
Later, 10X Capital became the target of an activist campaign by YZi Labs, linked to Changpeng Zhao, which resulted in a lawsuit and claims under a management agreement with a potential value of more than $100 million. The conflict ended on June 23, 2026 with a cooperation agreement, and the board of directors was expanded to six people.
As of July 31, 2026, BNC held 515,544 BNB worth approximately $302.3 million. The quarter ended with a net loss of $11.4 million, most of which was attributable to an unrealized impairment of assets of $15.3 million.$BNB #Write2Earn
