U.S. President Donald Trump issued an executive order renaming artificial intelligence as super intelligence. According to NS3.AI, independent journalist Adam Cochran alleged that people linked to the Trump administration likely bought .si domain names before the September 19 announcement.

Cochran said he found 12,000 such domains registered beforehand and claimed insiders may have made hundreds of millions of dollars by selling them. He added that AI- and MAGA-related .si domains were bought for tens of thousands of dollars and later listed for millions.
