Petrobras is testing blockchain Cardano in 2 projects related to low-emission fuels: SAF and Diesel R.
🔹 With SAF, Cardano records the origin and environmental attributes of the fuel as tokens, helping track and verify the data.
🔹 With Diesel R, the blockchain is proposed to record the journey from production → transportation → usage, for emissions reporting.
The notable point isn’t that Petrobras “buys ADA,” but that the blockchain is being integrated into the data layer of a real energy supply chain.
However, both projects are still in the research phase and there is no timeline for wide rollout yet.
