BTC has really been grinding you these past two days. The high was 85,390 and the low was 84,474—it's been oscillating within a range of only about $900. The current price is 85,281, up 0.85%. It looks like nothing happened.
Only if it breaks above 85,390 with volume and holds steady, will there be a chance to look at 87,385 again. If it pushes up on decreasing volume but can't hold, I won’t chase.
The 15-minute MACD has a golden cross, but RSI(6) is already at 68—it's a bit hot. The 1-hour MACD has a golden cross as well. The rebound structure is still there, but RSI(6) has surged to 90—clearly overbought. The 4-hour MACD just turned positive again. After the price moved from 63,944 up to 87,385, it’s now consolidating around 85,200. The daily structure hasn’t broken, but short-term it needs to shake out.
Above 85,390: only after breaking out with volume and holding steady will there be a chance to look at 87,385. Below 84,474: if it breaks down, then we’ll look at 83,900.
My plan is simple: if it pushes up to 85,390 on decreasing volume and can’t hold, I won’t move. If it breaks out with volume, then does a pullback that doesn’t fail, then I’ll consider following. If 84,474 gets retested, I’ll see whether it stops falling—if it stabilizes, I’ll try with a small position. My stop loss is below 83,900.
At this level, chasing long is scary because of potential overbought and pullback; chasing short is also scary because a long consolidation often leads to a rise. I’d rather wait.
If the price retraces to 0.0508–0.0512, then finds support and forms a bullish candle, a long entry may be comparatively better-defined.
SL: 0.0490 TP: 0.0541 → 0.0551 → 0.0570
Short: Taking a short directly right now looks like a weak setup on the chart. A short would be considered only when you get a 15m candle close below 0.0508 and the retest fails.

Bitcoin has taken another shot at $87,000! It briefly neared an eight-month high in early trading—just a few hundred dollars below the late-September peak of around $87,400—before pulling back to trade around $86,000. It’s still up 1%–2% over the past 24 hours, with gains of about 2.7% so far this month. Softer US jobs data fueled rate-cut expectations, lifting risk assets across the board. Total market capitalization climbed back above $3 trillion, and the Fear & Greed Index rose above 70, into “Greed” territory. The “Uptober” narrative is officially underway. October has historically seen sizable average gains, and bulls are eyeing the 2026 opening price of $87,570 as a key resistance level.
Altcoins are mixed, but there are plenty of standouts: Cardano (ADA) surged more than 10% to a five-month high; DOGE led major coins with gains of over 3%; and XRP and BNB followed, rising 1%–2%. On the institutional front, Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) now holds more than $72 billion worth of Bitcoin, and Saylor continues to hint at further purchases.
Major regulatory and institutional developments: A joint venture between OKX and ICE, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, has officially filed an application with the SEC. It plans to launch a 24/7 tokenized US stock trading platform under an innovation exemption framework, initially covering 63 NYSE-listed stocks and settling trades in stablecoins such as USDC and USDT—a further step toward the convergence of TradFi and crypto. El Salvador has also received its latest $138 million disbursement from the IMF, while Bitcoin-related exemptions remain in effect.
This week, keep an eye on the Federal Reserve meeting minutes (Wednesday), Treasury auctions, the Ethereum Glamsterdam testnet upgrade, and potential volatility from large token unlocks for HYPE, ENA, APT, and others.
There’s never a shortage of stories in crypto. Can Bitcoin truly break through $87K and open the path to $90K? Could tokenized stocks become the catalyst for the next wave of institutional adoption? Share your thoughts in the comments—is it full speed ahead for Uptober, or is it better to wait cautiously for macro developments to play out? 🚀
Long-termism isn’t slow—it’s steady. Using time as leverage and focus as the foundation, you accumulate through compounding and unleash results through persistence. True great wealth belongs to those who can see farther, hold steady, and keep going for the long haul.
At this stage, the market is choppy and volatile, with buyers and sellers tugging back and forth. Don’t let short-term price swings carry you away emotionally. Plan your take-profit and stop-loss in advance, and refuse to open positions impulsively out of emotion. Opportunities are meant to be waited for, not forced. When you don’t understand, it’s best to choose to stand by. Risk control always comes first—staying alive means you’ll have another round of opportunities.#比特币冲击8.7万美元遇阻回落 #Zcash现货ETF首现周度净流出9360万美元
